This past week I’ve been in Indianapolis at the annual ACFW(American Christian Fiction Writers) Conference. I was there for several
reasons:
- To improve my craft.
- To connect with other non-normal people (writers).
- To discover the viability of new Steampunk Fables series.
Indianapolis was a HUGE win—for all three goals.
And one of the highlights was the genre dinner on Friday
night. During this event we got to dress in costumes representative of our
genre…can anyone say STEAMPUNK!
I had a blast getting ready for the event, but I discovered
that getting the quality I wanted with my costume meant I needed to make most
of it myself. Or at the very least, alter ready-made parts of it.
Over the next few weeks I’ll continue to share the different
projects I tackled. Today’s focus is the pair of knitted fingerless gloves I
designed.
